Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri says Aaron Ramsey still has work to do despite scoring on his league debut. The former Arsenal man, who joined on a free transfer this summer after 11 years with the Gunners, has been injured for much of the season so far, and only made his first appearance when coming off the bench against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in midweek.
He was handed his full debut for their Serie A match at home to Hellas Verona in which the away side surprisingly took the lead thanks to Miguel Veloso.

However, Ramsey then scored with a deflected strike to get the Old Lady back level before Cristiano Ronaldo’s late penalty sealed a win. Afterwards, Sarri said he was happy with Ramsey’s performance, but still needs to learn to adapt to his tactical style.
“Ramsey still needs to adapt, but that’s pretty natural in the circumstances. Our central midfielder was man-marked, but I think we could’ve done more with the other two midfielders,” he said.
“Changing two out of three in the middle meant it was clear we could’ve lost some balance. “This is a team under construction and you can tell. We far too easily forget to defend moving forward and tend to run backwards under pressure, so it’ll take a while to get that out of them.”
