Southampton are reportedly set to join the race to sign Club Brugge’s Dutch international winger Arnaut Groeneveld.
Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has already been busy in this summer transfer window putting his own stamp on the St Mary’s squad, with deals for Che Adams, Danny Ings and Moussa Djenepo already completed.
More incomings are being mooted in all areas of the pitch and Groeneveld is the latest name to emerge as a possible target. The 22-year-old only moved to Belgian side Brugge from NEC Nijmegen in his homeland 12 months ago, but his performances have resulted in speculation linking him with moves to the likes of AC Milan, Rennes, Inter Milan and Tottenham.

Groeneveld was also handed a first call-up to former Saints boss Ronald Koeman’s Netherland’s squad last year and scored in his second game.
Hasenhuttl is thought to be a fan and reports suggest the Austrian will attempt to take Groeneveld to the south coast given the player’s recent comments that he would like to test his abilities in England.
