Juventus teenager Moise Kean is set to join Everton for a fee of 30million euros. The final fee could rise by a further 10m euros due to add-ons related to how the forward’s future at Goodison Park pans out. Reports in Italy say the transfer has been agreed, with the 19-year-old said to be packing his bags for England having left training in Turin on Tuesday morning.
A medical could take place on Wednesday ahead of the player signing a five-year deal. Kean has long been seen as one of the brightest talents in Europe. He has already won three caps for Italy, scoring two goals in those games. Last season his chances with Juve were limited by he still bagged seven goals in 17 appearances, 11 of which were off the bench.
Everton will hope Kean will provide an answer to their problems in the centre-forward position. They have never properly replaced Romelu Lukaku, who left to join Manchester United in the summer of 2017. Lukaku has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks. Kean’s arrival will help boost the mood among Everton fans who had seen midfielder Idrissa Gueye, considered one of the club’s best players in recent seasons, depart for Paris Saint-Germain earlier on Tuesday.
