Rangers defender Kenneth Igboke is full of excitement following his maiden call-up to the Super Eagles.
Igboke was handed invitation as a replacement for the injured Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this week.
The left-back along with Olorunleke Ojo and Sodiq Ismail are the three home-based players in the squad that will face South Africa and Benin Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
He promised to be a good ambassador of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
“I am indeed delighted with this opportunity extended to me and I promise to make the best possible use of it to ensure that our country’s flag is hoisted at the next FIFA World Cup 2026. I feel so excited”, Igboke told Rangers media.
“I feel so happy to have been given this chance and I promise to be an excellent ambassador of my club, Rangers International F.C and the NPFL, organizers of the league where we showcase our talent every week.”
“I have the confidence that it would be a worthwhile experience for me and other home-based invitees to ensure we make room for more to be invited. With my fans’ and club members’ prayers and support, I shall defend our nation creditably.”
