Former Arsenal midfield star Mesut Ozil has promised never to make fun of Tottenham Hotspur again if they avoid defeat against Manchester City.
Spurs will host title hopefuls City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night in both team’s game in hand.
City, on 85 points, are currently second in the league table behind Arsenal.
The Gunners, targeting a first league title since 2004, would be relying on their bitter city rivals to do them a favour by avoiding defeat against City going into the final fixtures on Sunday.
Spurs are also in the race for Champions League qualification as a win against City would put them just two points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Ahead of the game on Tuesday, Ozil is urging his former club’s rival to do them the favour.
“First time ever tonight: COME ON YOU SPURSSS!! ,” Ozil wrote on his X handle.
“If Tottenham don’t lose this game I will never make fun of them again… I promise.”
After helping Arsenal defeat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, Kai Havertz said he will be Spurs’ biggest fan against City.
