Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was introduced in the second half but could not prevent Leicester City from losing 2-1 at Burnley in Sunday’s Premier League game, Completesports.com reports.
Iheanacho was introduced in the 73rd minute for Ayoze Perez for his sixth league appearance.
The defeat denied Leicester, still in third, the chance to equal Manchester City on 48 points in the league table.
For Burnley they ended a run of four straight league games without a win and are now 14th on 27 points.
Leicester opened scoring in the 33rd minute
through Harvey Barnes He ran at the Burnley defence and slotted the ball past Nick Pope.
Burnley were back on level terms on 56 minutes thanks to Chris Wood who reacted quickest to poke the ball over the line after Kasper Schmeichel does well to keep out Ben Mee’s header.
Leicester had the chance to extend their lead on 69 minutes from the penalty spot but Pope went the right way to deny Jamie Vardy following a foul on Barnes by Mee.
And in the 79th minute Burnley scored the winner as a poor clearance by Johnny Evans saw the ball fall to Ashley Westwood who smashed it in.

The Team is conspicuously missing Wilfred Ndidi, since the absence of Wilfred the Team won just one match. This speaks volumes of his defensive and offensive skills. How I wish Arsenal bid for him to propel his status for bigger challenges in order to see more of his qualities. I wish you quick recovery, furthermore more power to your elbow our jewel.
For those who are singing Roger’s praises to the highest heavens, his appears to be just as good as Ndidi is at this point.

Agreed with you Ola, the Team missed Wilfred more than what they can admit. Lets them pray for his speedy recovery before more damage is inflicted upon Leicester.
…..And Rogers said he won’t release Ndidi for national duties when he recovers. As if he was a slave labourer … or Leicester settled his mother’s hospital fees when he was delivered.
