Super Eagle defender, Shehu Abdulahi has expressed delight with the recall of Odion Ighalo back to the senior national team.
Recall that Ighalo was named in Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr’s 24-man list for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde respectively this month.
0Ighalo, who last played for Nigeria in the team’s 1-0 won over Tunisia at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in the Third-place match.
Reacting to his recall on SuperSport’s Naija Made, Shehu said that his experience will go a long way in helping the Super eagles in the qualifiers and AFCON 2022 in Cameroon.
“We are all happy to have Ighalo back in the team. With his experience Ighalo is a top player that everyone looks up to him.
“To have Ighalo back in the team is good for all of us, he will help the team I am sure of that and the coach trusts him and we trust him too.
“With his experience, I think a lot of players there in the team will learn a lot from him so we are happy to have him back.”

Tell them o! His experience is key. It can not be overemphasize.
First line, 3rd paragraph, CS wrote -0Ighalo, which is certain to be typo error just as some of us do experience suggestive keybad errors and with the traffic, you could imagine. It can be corrected, CS.
Meanwhile, Odion Ighalo’s goal against Tunisia in the last afcon was simply a game changer. Good he is back to propel SE’s attack.
That’s true, my keyboard has words suggestion app. But can experience really win this for the SE?
If only we can just add one more experienced leg in the team like Victor Moses, then this team is as good as being crown 2022 Afcon winner but for now let’s hope for the best.
Ighalo’s inclusion has long been settled. @Oseodion, any stats on Ighalo?
Aboki Shehu I’m not surprised that you’ll support your fellow corrupt mediocre fellow, Nemesis will catch up with you people one by one. This life no be forever make una no forget.
Abdullahi Shehu is even suppose to give way for Alhassan Yusuf now if we must continue to have quota representation… no one knows what Shehu is doing in the team anymore!
…the best Nigeria footballer in Rurkey for the last three years yet he has no cap for Nigeria! This is one of the many reasons why Nigeria will always remain a mediocre nation lying to itself… coming from an Idoma man in honest support of truth for a brother from east of the Niger River!

…*Turkey.
The guy has played for Niaja why do say he has no cap for Nigeria?
That game was a no-contest… FIFA registered is as a walkover for Algeria because Abdullahi Shehu was fielded despite being on match suspension. So that Cap did not count for anyone on the SE team… so technically, Anthony Nwakaeme still date has no cap for Nigeria! With the was that sounds… is it not a travesty?
I don’t know whether most of you understand that football is a team sports and not an individual sports. When you bring in these players you people suggest how will they understand the team tactics and gell with their mates in 2 days.
@CSN… why did you guys disable the 4minute time allowable for edit after post? Anything Nigerian continues to degrade in service offering than improve… you guys reactivate the edit option please! Atimes one types from phone and with soft keypads… mistakes are commonplace but often before now, we can still edit post after posting… CSN reapply our edit function!
Why won’t shehu praise the idea?…..Even shehu himself is in the team for every reason but merit……All the caps shehu has gathered from being a Nigerian international the best he can do is Cyprus league and that tells you alot about his quality as a player……..Well what do I know?
Pls the EFCC and ICPC should beam their search light around the NFF and sports ministry especially as it concerns our national team welfare and switch of nationality.
1. Should I pay money to switch nationality so as to represent the Nigeria National teams (especially the Super Eagles) and make her proud as a foreign born? If yes, what are the legal fees and to whom?
2. Are SE players not entitled to their match bonuses and allowances?
3. Who audits the financial records and statement of account of the NFF and sports ministry? and when was the last audit conducted?
CSN, EFCC, ICPC … over to you sir!
Nigeria Football Fans and Supporters are worried!
Wahala dey ooo..
CSN deleted my expository on Roar..
It’s becoming very clear that CSN is part of the sham happening in SE.
@Larry… they have been deleteing my comments since “Thy Kingdom Come o…” I have voiced and shouted it here times without number, that at one point, I felt it was my antagonist, @Dr.Drey doing it, possibly working at their backend or soemthing! Infact… a popular member on this forum raised the pointer that he gathered like @Dr.Drey works with CSN… with their modus operandi… surely there is a boogeyman that works with CSN and also actively contributes with us on this forum… I am always amazed how within seconds something irks @Dr.Drey, he will dig into CSN database and whipup articles dating back to 2015 or earlier with ease in minutes… how he used to register peoples comments that irks him, with like 24thumbdowns in space of minutes even in threads that have less than 10comments posted! There is certainly, a boogeyman here deleting messages at CSN system backend… we are going nowhere though… we will be here till the business centre they are colluding to run with Super Eagles is exposed!
HAhahahahaha…Insanity of the highest order….LMAOOoo. Now Dr.Drey is a staff of CSN…..LMAOooo. Dr.Drey is no longer a teenage secondary school leaver, he is no longer a jobless graduate, no longer a 35yr old newspaper seller in Ajegunle……your brain wave has this time around directed you towards CSN offices as Dr.Drey’s workplace…..LMAOooo.
Even a fool that has used CSN before knows that comments that carry links of certain websites or certain key words get deleted automatically by the system.
It also doesnt take more than the intelligence of an imbecile to see that CSN website has a search button than can be used to search articles posted on this site from as far back as its inception.
How these things are rocket science to people who have be lied to that they are smart and intelligent beats imagination.
Dr.Drey is the nightmare of many people on CSN o…..LMAOooooo
I wish I was truly working at CSN as the man at the backend of this website. Not a single alphabet will get posted from certain people here…..LMAOOOoo….that’s for sure. No matter how many fake names you choose to use.
Mediocre.
Low mentality.
Shallow minded.
No wonder Cyprus is your best bet.
You recall a striker like that’s the missing link in your team. Shame!!!
Why not recall Okocha since we can’t ever get his replacement.
With all the good works and improvements of Victor Osimhen, he still has a lot to learn especially in the area of composure in front of goals. This’s what Ighalo would bring to the table because he is better composed because he is more experienced(let’s remove our mind from the one off miss at the WC, he is generally more composed in front of goal and it comes with experience). Our young strikers would learn a lot from this aspect of his game.
Ekong might lose his starting position as Ranieri doesn’t see him as a defender that suits his style. We already saw signs in the game against Arsenal..and in other talks Rohr is planning to invite Bryan Idowu for injured Collins. Na wa oohh.
