The Egyptian FA has denied reports of discord between Mohamed Salah and coach Hossam Hassan in the team’s 1-1 draw against Guinea in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Recall that the 31-year-old was playing against Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau in World Cup qualifiers.

Salah did score in the second game, a 1-1 draw, but refused to come off in injury time.
An Egyptian FA statement read: “There is absolutely no truth to the rumors that Mohamed Salah refused to leave the pitch.
“Salah was not going to be substituted off in the first place. Hossam Hassan was content with only bringing on Nasser Maher.”
