Libya has only lost once in 15 matches since June 2023 under their current head coach. Someone who played on Saturday is just strolling into camp and our main poacher who appears to be one who cannot be dropped is expected tomorrow, 48 hours to a crucial match meanwhile he is match rusty.
No team in our group is a walkover. In fact, in terms of form, eagles are bottom yet they are strolling into camp.
NFF says Waldrum is stifling the creativity of our Super falcons forwards meanwhile no one of the players is posting scintillating performance in any club side in the world. Not America. Not Europe.
Nigeria is far fading in past glory. Make una no take senior national football serious. Na una sabi. National team appearances are only fleeting times.
Ah Sylvester,
I think there are other strikers (like Boniface and Awoniyi) who arrived in camp early enough to post professional performances come Saturday.
We now have a European Fitness Trainer who will run the rule over all players and submit to Eguavoen who and who are fit to participate.
Yes, no team is a walkover which includes the Super Eagles who took the lead against Benin and recovered a lost cause against South Africa even under a subpar coach.
Nigeria cannot be fast-fading in past glory. We are currently Afcon Silver medallist and the best and only team to win all three group stage matches in the last Afcon after coming third in the Afcon prior.
We have been there or thereabouts. Even though we didn’t qualify for the last world cup in Qatar, Eguavoen and Rohr only lost 1 game out of 9 in the qualifying series; we were just at the cruel wrong end of very narrow margins in that qualifying series.
Our problem is the NFF – their handling of our football is disgraceful. But things could have been worse. Let’s not embrace doom and gloom.
My expectations are low, but there is “glimmer of hope”. Let’s be hopeful. Eguavoen is an upgrade from Finidi (who played tasteful football in style but with tasteless results in substance).
I think Eguavoen should be able to mastermind 2 points in these 2 games which will shave 2 points off each of opponents and give us helpful platform to build upon in future games.
Okay oh. I hope they don’t disgrace your cautious optimism on Saturday. Who born Eguavoen to bench Osimhen? Going to battle with very blunt tools. I laugh sha. Sir Deo, I am not optimistic because structures on quicksand are only primed to collapse too soon.
Rubbish, their name list never change, players that don’t have playing time are always call up for SE. Iheanacho has got 0 business in SE.
This is a display of gross indiscipline and disrespect to the team entirely This is not the first time a seeial bench warmer will be the last set of players to arrive late to camp. Strolling into the team camp despite spending the whole duration of his club last game on the bench watching Ejuke in action last Saturday. Even those that played matches on Sunday are in camp!
It’s becoming clearer the players Finidi benefiting from the oga at the top and God fatherism in the whole scheme of the team.
The reason why the team needs a good disciplinarian and respected manager.
@larry that’s why they call him senior man
