Ahmed Musa has backed the Super Eagles decision to pull out of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four encounter against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
The Super Eagles pulled out of the game following the inhumane treatment they were subjected to by Libyan authorities.
The players and their officials were stranded at the Al Abaq Airport for several hours before they were permitted to travel back to Nigeria on Monday afternoon.

Musa said the action of the Libyans was unjust and urged the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to intervene in the matter.
“I’m extremely disappointed by the unjust treatment of the Super Eagles, the NFF officials, as well as dignitaries in Libya,” Musa wrote on X.
“This is not sportsmanship, and I want the football governing body, @CAF_Online to intervene and investigate this incident.
“I stand with the players in this difficult time.”
