Andy Ruiz Jr has stated that he has no plans of killing Anthony Joshua during their rematch in December. This is coming after fellow heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder told SunSport how he fears his (Ruiz) brutal punching power could one day kill a man.
Four boxers have tragically died this year as a result of fights but the boxer is not willing to take that route to end a man’s life. This he cleared when he hosted a Q&A with fans on social media.
A fan asked: “Are you going to kill Anthony Joshua?”
The Mexican responded: “No, I’m not killing anybody. I don’t think God wants that but I’m pretty sure he wants me to win and prove everybody wrong.”
The heavyweight who defeated AJ in June with a seventh-round knockout stunned the boxing world when he achieved the feat claimed it was “punch from God” that helped him with the defeat.
He added: “I said in Joshua’s face that it was a punch from God.

“I’d been praying and wishing for this opportunity my whole life and I’ve taken advantage of it.”
Meanwhile, promoter, Eddie Hearn has addressed worry from fans concerning Ruiz’s new trimmed look ahead of his match in December.
He is of the opinion that Ruiz is heavier than he was in June.
He said: “I thought he looked quite tubby.
“I actually thought he looked heavier than he did previously.
“Make your own mind up. That clip that I saw, which was him training in San Diego, I didn’t think that he looked slimmer than he did last camp.
“There was one picture of him leaning forward.
“The old ‘lean forward’, tucked back, with a little pout, can make you lose half a stone. Maybe he’s done that.”
