Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has expressed his delight that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen didn’t join the Blues.
Recall that the Nigerian international was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer before joining Galatasaray from Napoli.
Speaking with talkSPORT, Cundy said that the arrival of Osimhen would put an end to Nicolas Jackson’s over-reliance on the attack for Chelsea.

“I’m glad we didn’t get Osimhen in the summer because if we did, we wouldn’t be seeing the numbers of Jackson is putting up,” Cunday said.
“But there is a case to be said. Do we need a backup? And Nkunku right now isn’t that backup? And that’s the problem we have as a squad
“We don’t really have a genuine backup for Jackson, but because he’s so young. How do you back up someone so young.
“So therefore, if you bring someone in, you got to bring someone who’s going to go over Jackson. Who is that player?”
