Mohamed Salah has revealed he did not expect Arne Slot to be this good as a coach.
Slot was appointed in the summer as a replacement for Jurgen Klopp and has not looked out of place.
His Reds side are currently topping the Premier League table, six points ahead of second-placed Arsenal and could go nine points clear if they win their game in hand.
Also, Liverpool are top of the UEFA Champions League standing and look good to go through to the knockout stage.
“Before I worked with Arne Slot, I didn’t expect he was this good… then we started working and I’m not surprised at all!,” Salah told TNT.
“He’s great with details, great with small things, doesn’t have ego when he makes a mistake… he’s great on tactics.”
Salah has been impressive so far this season and have been tipped as one of the favourites for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
The Egyptian international is leading the top scorers chart in the Premier League with 17 goals and has netted 20 goals in all competitions.
When asked if he thinks he is currently the best player in the world: “Best in the world? It’s tricky! People have different preferences.
“I always see myself as the best and I want to give my best for the team.”
Also, on why he voted for Vinicius Junior in the FIFA The Best award:“Vinicius Jr is very good player, that’s why!”
“He’s improving every year and hopefully he can continue… I voted for him because he deserves.”
