Completesports.com’s ADEBOYE AMOSU appraises the performance of Super Eagles players in their 1-1 draw against Brazil- an international friendly match, at the Singapore National Stadium, Kallang, on Sunday, October 13, 019.
FRANCIS UZOHO 7/0
Produced a number of important saves before his substitution in the second half as a result of injury.
CHIDOZIE AWAZIEM 7/10
Defensively strong and was good going forward. Showed his versatility with another impressive performance.
SEMI AJAYI 7/10
The West Bromwich Albion defender saved a goal bound shot late in the game. Proved he is ready to excel on the international scene.
WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG 7/10
Had a tough time curtailing the Brazilians after the break but stood up well to the challenge.
JAMILU COLLINS 6/10
Exposed a number of times by Gabriel Jesus and Dani Alves. The SC Paderborn left-back will need to working on his marking ability.
WILFRED NDIDI 6/10
Failed to shield the defence well and looked tired after the break.
JOE ARIBO 7/10
Cool, calm and collected. Aribo scored Nigeria’s only goal, his second in as many games. His energy and industry will be vital for the team in future.
ALEX IWOBI 5/10
Did little or nothing in the game. Not one of his best games for the Super Eagles
SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE 7/10
Caused problems for the Brazilians especially in the first half. He fizzled a bit after the break.
MOSES SIMON 7/10
Provided the assist for Joe Aribo’s goal . The Nantes of France failed to replicate his lively first half performance after the break.
VICTOR OSIMHEN 7/10
Osimhen was denied by Ederson early in the game and had a hand in Joe Aribo’s goal.
SUBSTITUTES
MADUKA OKOYE 5/10
Got the chance to make his debut following Francis Uzoho’s injury. The young goalkeeper was unfazed
with the quality of opposition.
EMMANUEL DENNIS 4/10
Took the place of Moses Simon in the 72nd minute. Dennis put up a lively performance in the few minutes he spent on the pitch.
PAUL ONUACHU 2/10
Failed to impress again. Still difficult to believe he is part of the team.
RAMON AZEEZ
Not rated. He replaced Alex Iwobi six minutes from time.
PETER OLAYINKA
Not rated. Played a cameo role replacing Osimhen in the 89th minute.
SHEHU ABDULLAHI
Not Rated. Took the place of Joe Aribo deep into stoppage time.

So you mean 2 players substituted osimhen. The person of Onouchu and olayinka. Don’t be in a heist to post Mr journalist, read your article properly first
Coach rohr seems to be bringing out the best out of these lads. I don’t think this team is defensive-the coach is playing to the strength of the team.
Draw is good due to the state of our football administration but it shouldn’t replace the word brilliant if we are ambitious! But thank God we didn’t loose as expected as par realism! We still need a team psychologist who will tinker the no fear attacking instinct in the team.
Eagles need more brainer than physical energy because had we had a good decision making we would have been winning matches we had lost or drawn!
Nigeria is a country that celebrate mediocrity. That’s
Why a draw in a football match is considered brilliant
even if it’s against Brazil. They are human beings just like we
are..they’re not super humans. They have quality players just like
Nigeria. Now we celebrate draws but Brazil and European countries
will never do that..they celebrate victories that’s why they are very
Successful. Rohr is killing the talents we have with negative tactics
Nigeria needs a young coach, either a Brazilian,German or Dutch coach but let the age range be b/w 33 n 45
Please that guy called PAUL ONUACHU should just quit football.. It’s not is calling at all
Wakanda stupid rating is this? Joe Aribo shouldn’t get the same rating as anybody in that team that played today
Joe Aribo was smart and did an incredible run to give SE the goal. He even gave the Brazilian defender a tough time . Alex Iwobi wasn’t cool and I felt coach Rohr ought to have changed h earlier with Ramon Azeez and speaking about changing a player , the coach have been subscripting on late timings the SE thing he did at the world cup , the same he did against Ukraine which I don’t find roo pleasing . He really needs to see to that esp should Nigeria play a crucial world cuatch that could possibly lead them to a great phase in the career as a team.
The players did their best , showed physical prowess nevertheless more work to be done based mental prowess and timing …
A great match
Hope to see further progress
I hope uzohor gets better
And I pray NFF gets Portugal national team to play esp with Cristiano Ronaldo being there …..
God bless Aribo, awaziem, chukweze, osimehin, uzohu, ajayi for me! iwobi is not good at all.good performance no doubt. our coach has a lot of work to do esp at the defence line. our captain needs to really wake up,all those mistakes could v been deadly. ajayi has really improved his game thou.
Onuachu placed an header down for chukwueze. Assuming chuckeze scored. I am sure he would ve been rated 6 or 7 instead of the 2 .
Awaziem is my pick for man of the match
When everyone is been praised we seem to forget someone and that is who I call “The Rock” SEMI AJAYI! This guy denied Coutinho what would have been a late winner for Brazil coupled with his Great play all through and he’s not been praised by we fans as I expected. Too bad..
Joe Aribo, The star man. We’re so lucky to have you. I’ll even suggest that when Etebo is back, He should play our No. 10 while Iwobi comes off the bench later on to replace either Etebo or Ndidi cuz it is clearly obvious that Iwobi plays better when he comes off the bench. He was horrible today. So lazy. I’m his big fan but was very dissapointed in him today.
Chai…I pity Lesotho and Sierra Leone next month oo cuz Kalu the baddest dribbler will be back with some other regulars. How will they survive this team destined for greatness. Thank you Mr. Rohr. NFF abeg pay this man all his outstanding benefits oo
God bless Nigeria
#Soar Super Eagles
Don’t know why some people have problem always complain at all time. Yes Iwobi didn’t dictate the game like he did against Ukraine but he did his best. Football are sometimes like that. Until he is out of d team before u recognise his value like some people are talking about same Etebo they always criticise now. Remember the man of the match today was Awaziem u guys have said so many negative things to the coach about his always inclusion into the team. As for those complaining about the coach late substitute I think over sabi is our problem in this country. So cos iwobi wasn’t playing well u want him to pull him off like he did against Ukraine that u guys were complaining that the midfield collapsed at least he is trying to buy time and see if thing could change after all he made the substitute eventually and what was their input. Over all it was a good game and kudos to the coach and the technical crew.
when i said iwobi is not a player, some people here cant understand.
iwobi has lost his dribbling ability and speed ability.
to bring iwobi back to life maybe they should move back to winger.
this amosu guy dont even know how to rate sef. aribo deserve 8. and awaziem 8
I said two weeks ago that our young lads are very desperate to bring Nigeria to the top of world rankings once again and i said that the result would be a bad one. Here we are today and the boys delivered their job. Congratulations boys and the coaches .
Nigeria 1 : 1 Brazil
That’s the score line in Singapore !!!
We are not saying in Abuja ooo or in Lagos ooo or on Asaba ooo….but I’m saying in far away Singapore!!!
Brazil is the current Coppa American Champion !!!…with their star-studded side !
Our “up-coming” youthful side Super Eagles played the “almighty” star-studded Brazil to a score draw !!!
We even scored in open play sef from a youthful player who is still with8in his 4th cap for the super eagles against a Brazilian defending setup of one of the best legs and safe hands in world soccer !!
And some Nigerians are not giving these SE buys and the coaching crew a thumb ups for a job welldone !!!
This is so unbelievable!
I was in the stadium live and an English man (Yes, An English guy and his girlfriend) next to me said; “He wish this is their team”!
Out here in the streets, everyone was saying what a great future holds for the African teams after what Senegal did few days back with this same Brazilian team!!!!
And I log in here and read columnist comments dishing negative words on some of the players (Alex for instance).
That’s why we will never progress in this world !
Black man…black mind !!!
Never appreciative of his own!
Always waiting for the downfall of his very own brother to make jest of it !!
What a waste of Continental set of people !!
Shame of you if you are a negative-minded kinsman !!
You will dig your own pit and fall inside one day !!
Bad belle !!!
CS…if una like, delete my comment…no bi today !!!
To the positive-minded citizens, noble kinmen and true friends of Motherkabd … we will continue to soar higher because God no Dey sleep !!
All the players of Super Eagles that played today game with those in the reserve … weldone lads !
Have a safe trip back to your respective clubs and keep working hard!
Uzoho … get well, son ! Great job today !
To Oga Coachee Gohr and his coaching crew, medical crew…Big ups and keep it up !!! Keep the team soaring high like a true eagle !!
Dear NFF…Abeg keep the house in order and pls do the right things!
Our Super Falcons, Chan eagles, U-23 eagles, The Olympic Eagan’s and most especially the u-17 eaglets need your attention now !
Not forgetting the various clubsides still in the race in the continental competitions!
God bless 9ja as always !!
Amen
– Prince
A thousand thumbs up you, brotherly :). Bless up.
God bless you@prince. Some forumites here are faceless witches/ wizards probably living in some dirty coven, wishing Iwobi n others evil day n night. Shame to them. Common sense will tell anyone that a player already marked out by a coach as d danger man would always have a difficult time as all eyes of the opponents will be on him. These blood sucking demons without reason will beg, pray n sit there only waiting to see Iwobi’s fault n ignore every of his good contribution. Despite being the marked man, Iwobi still put up a decent performance albeit he later tired out. Nigerians with their dark wicked soul. This is an Iwobi that will never report late to camp, carrying Nigeria with pride everywhere he goes. Never giving any reason not to honour national call like many a player used to do. Won’t be surprised, these demons will come for this same Aribo some day. Evil people.
Well spoken my brother. I really get pissed up with our negative minded fans. Many are critscizing Collins, forgetting that he also made many vital interception. Some remember Marez getting pass him in Afcon and now Gabriel Jesus forgetting this are world class players from arguably the best club in the world. Collins still remains our best left footed left back, an improvement of Echiejile, Idowu and Aina till we have someone better.
Welldone guys, well done to the coaching crew.
Wonderful minds from prince and ikben.. I love positive minds like yours.
What rohn did today’s deserves appreciation. We had a very weak bench not many seem to remember, we had okoye zero cap, azzez last game was 5 years, Bonaventure 1 cap and isabor zero cap, olayinka zero cap, there were the players many wanted the coach to bring in to change the games untested players.
We played against a world class team, with this only Tammy should be regretting he choose England, he would bench an onuachu who he is far better than, I see more foreign guys choosing Nigeria cos who doesn’t want to be part of this beautiful team rohn is cooking for Nigeria.
Finally rohn wouldn’t leave Nigeria, he is not happy yes but he can’t drop this project of his when it about yielding result.. Don’t be surprised France and Belgium would ask for a friendly with us soon
To all positive minded people thank you all. I don’t know what some people including some journalists want to get from unnecessary criticism of the coach. The last time Nigeria played Brazil we were beaten 3: 0 on our soil yet heaven did not fall then. Some were complaining of Brazil dominating the second half what do you expect? they were a goal behind and a team as big as Brazil should react. The last time I saw a German team throwing away a 2 goal lead against Argentina in a friendly at home and yet nothing bad was written about their coach. Like they were complaining of Dennerby as super falcon coach then today we saw what has befall the team, that is exact thing they want for super eagles. Enemy of progress everywhere
@ololo u hv a big problem, a lizard cant hide his tail. be who u re, dont pretend for people like.
i stand as a man and talk as a man, and not to favour of man.
we point to iwobi, and u talkin. now u pointin at omuachu? wat wil u cal ursef now?
Gppd performance their is need for improvement stephen oddey and eleke should be invited pls coach have a close look at onuachu whether he is ready for the business bcos time no dey. O[ooo
Iwobi is one of the best players in the SE. But the midfield trio now is ndidi etebo and aribo. I wobi can play from the wings. But chukwueze and kalu must start. It is tough but coach can take decision based on the opponent. Iwobi plays better for us when he plays on the wings. This SE will be greater than the 94 set…soemthing tells me. All the best.
My brief observations:
Uzoho: top quality goalkeeper who pulled off decent saves b4 going out injured. 6.5/10
Awaziem: good deputy right back. Fast becoming Mr Dependable. 6.5/10
Ekong: no longer spectacular, still decent. 6/10
Ajayi: should now start ahead of Balogun or Omeruo (even if both are fit). Good all round positional play. 8/10
Collins: there or thereabouts. Weathered a lot of Brazilian pressure. Better than known-options like Idowu. 6.5/10
Ndidi: tendency to commit crucial fouls remains. Shields the back four well. Shows organisational skills. 6/10
Aribo: Pace, power, precision and purposeful play; Supremely well taken bullish goal. correct person! 8.5/10
Iwobi: Mr Hot and Cold; today he was cold for most parts as he failed to impose himself on proceedings. But Iwobi maintained admirable focus. 5.5/10
Chukwueze: Tantalising in-swingers and competent wing play. Here to stay. More of those please. 7.5/10
Osimhen: Will slug it out against any opposition on the planet: He has really come of age. He rattled the Brazilians at times. 7/10
Simon: supported Collins at the back; supported Aribo in front. All round mature wing play. 6.5/10
Subs:
Okoye: looked the part. Did the needful with routine saves. 5/10
Azeez: Mr give and go. Kept things calm and simple. 5.5/10.
Onuachu: Looked out of place in the set up he was thrown into. 4.5/10
Dennis: showed focus to slot into Rohr’s ‘soak-pressure’ tactics. 5/10.
Olayinka and Shehu – no ratings.
I concur
Aribo – My man of the match !
The team is getting there !
We will only but get better !!!
Welldone Lads
Welldone Gohr
NFF … Thanks for this friendly … Keep it up !!!
@Deo…Bros, keep it up
I noticed that you were doing a good update as the match was going on! A true son of Motherland !! One luv !
To all Nigerians … May God bless us all…ALWAYS !!!
You are such a kind man.
Nigeria needs more children of the soil like you.
Thank you so much.
God bless.
I think people should be free to express their opinions @Prince.We still have those that lauds the super eagles players and officials for a great job but our opinions differs and it’s a democratic world.
i don’t think forumites have anything against Iwobi or any other player rather their assessment is based on today’s game and that is the practice all over the world.Brazilian fans on a sports website were writing off their supper stars who won for them recently, the Copa America but picked Gabriel Jesus as the only outstanding player.
Apparently,in England players performances are analysed too and those who underperformed are criticised. But the same players are lauded in the next game when they come good.Criticism is normal and it’s what helps us to get better.
In other words, a forum is a house of people with diverse opinions and should be allowed to make their contributions.
Hi Greenturf,
Thank you so much for such an eloquently written and well composed write up as the one above.
Indeed, giving an objective assessment of Iwobi or any other player does not mean you have anything against them (only sick and demented minds will think like that): it is merely an evaluation of your perception of their performance on the day.
I was just reading goal.com and they gave Iwobi 4.5/10.
There is freedom of speech, hence we are all entitled to air our views without fear of insults or harassment.
I will continue to air my views about Iwobi or any players. If it gives anyone sleepless nights, then tough!
They can huff, puff, use stupid words or cry themselves to sleep, it does not remove any hair from my body.
Greenturf, you make a lot of sense when you implied that Brazil and England media and fans praise and criticise their players accordingly.
One thing I have realised: common sense is not that common!
Many thanks @deo,regards
No worries bro.
Stay blessed.
@Greenwich I read your stuff n sense your sincere criticisms like few others but others here I bet you, try read their chain of comments. Read in between their lines. Then you will easily understand their selfish, evil motives. I m never beating by fake, friendship, fake smile, fake praise, twisted comments. I search d hearts, Read in between the lines to understand people n their intentions. Iwobi has given SE great performances many a time, so even if he has one bad game, which to is not even bad, as he might be playing to coach instructions, any right thinking/ honest person wouldn’t come here to wanna rip him apart. Now tell me, who on that bench or in the SE is better than IWOBI at the moment. Anyone who knows football will tell you Aribo is not an attacking midfielder but a strong box to box, same as Etebo, same as Ramon Azeez. There is an intelligence that puts an attacking midfielder aside n wether anyone likes it or not, at the moment only Iwobi has that in the SE. The other players that come close if ever they get invited are, Ebere Eze, U-20 Okon, Tom Dele Bashiru. Definitely not Azeez who to me can be a good box to box albeit he didn’t get a enough minutes. All said n done, SE did marvelously well yesterday. Every player even Onuachu, despite never been a fan of his did well against a Brazil that is the South American Champion. God bless Rohr, God bless SE n God bless Nigeria.
Sorry meant to say @ Greenturf.lol
Hahaha… no worries @ Glory,after all it’s a wich you said,not a witch! psml…
I don’t really fancy replying someone but I must commend your comments @ greenturf
You are right in your details
However I was at the stadium and I just marvel at how young and strong-willed our boys are !!!…Alex, Aribo, chukwueze, Osimhen, Ndidi, Awaziem etc …taking the fight back to the matured vastly experienced star studded Brazilian men !!!
Can you imagine Alex/Aribo/Ndidi matching the grass turf with Casemiro/Arthur/Neymar/Everton !!!!
Can you imagine the nonsense approach of Ajayi/Ekong/Awaziem/Collins against Man city Gabriel, PSG Neymar
And how Simon/Osimhen/Chukuwueze took on Thiago/Dani led defence !!
There was no stage fright !
I will say about 90-95 % of their entire fans in the stadium rooted for their favourite team (Brazil)…and yet these young Eagles keep their cool and grind out a compressive impressive result !!
Haba … Make we lean to praise person first own!!
Some of us at that age of Alex or Aribo or Osimhen or Chukuwueze will break down even before stepping out of the dressing room into the pitch sef
I play ball wella so I no dey yan dust!
Let’s hail these boys Abeg !
My Dad used to say; “when you praise someone for putting in a gear to get a job done, next time, he will even Strive and do even better !!”
I rest my case
@Greenturf , Bros, I hail ooo
I hail too @ Prince.Thanks!
@deo Awaziem today is by far the best player on the pitch if truly some of you coach know football as you always claimed. Yes Aribo scored a good goal and did well a couples of time he is with the ball but don’t forget he, Iwobi and Indidi were in that midfield totally dominated by the Brazilian in the second half so criticizing only Iwobi is not fair because they struggled together. In all the whole players deserves praise even though some have a not too good day and it is part of the game. So as for me i say thumb up guys better luck next time
If by coming to Complete Sports Nigeria to comment makes me a coach, by implication, you are a coach too, sir.
Mr Tayo, thanks for expressing your views which you are very well entitled to.
I could not give a shit if you agree with my views or not.
Sorry bro, I just have to be blunt; Mr Coach!
Ekong needs to step us his positional and distribution play; Onwuachu doesn’t look to me as an SE material (Sadiq Umar is a better option for tall lanky striker).
Simeon Nwankwo was always fantastic in all the games he has played for the eagles so far. Strong on the ground and good in the air. Awesome with his hold up plays. Always gives the team an aerial advantage in the box. Scored a header against Liberia and it the post (with a header too against DRC). Why the chap isnt getting call ups anymore is worrisome.
Fair point Drey.
Such a big strong and powerful centre forward with aerial threats has so much to offer the Super Eagles; Moreso as he has rediscovered his goal scoring form.
Oh well. The team is doing well, that, I guess, is all that matters.
With the likes of Josh Maja and Chuba Akpom now on board, I believe we have an attacking force that can strike fear in the heart of any team on the planet.
It is such a wonderful time to be a Super Eagles fan. The result over the weekend plus the overall performance of the team is something we have been yearning for.
God bless.
In my opinion, Iwobi is not getting enough credit for his performance today. Football is not only about dribbling. His tactical awareness impressed me a lot. He was everywhere, helping the defence, linking up in the middle, helping Osimhen upfront, he covered a lot of square footage with his tireless running. If he can improve on his decision making, which is not bad, and if he can shoot better with both feet, and be more clinical in front of goal, this guy would be world class.
Awaziem shone like a million stars at right back today. Very difficult to get past him. And he pushed up and provided some good crosses.
Ajayi’s performance today means Omeruo’s jersey is no longer certain. Ajayi was simply awesome, combining well with KING EKONG in the heart of the defence. These two kept Firmino quiet, something many premier league defenders find impossible to do! Great to see the competition this brings. And hopefully, BALOGUN will find a new club and start playing regularly again. There is also news of STEPHEN EZE doing well at his club. We have many quality options in the center back position at the moment!
In Moses Simon, Chukwueze, Kalu and Denis, we’ve got good wingers. Upfront, Osimhen is clearly Ighalo’s heir. He came close a few times to scoring against Brazil today, and was a constant nuisance for Thiago Silva and Marquinhos. Paul Onuachu continues to struggle, so perhaps we should look at Sadiq Umar as a possible replacement. Simy Nwankwo is another guy I feel should be given another chance. He did well the few times he was called upon to play for us.
Our YOUNG team just held MIGHTY BRAZIL to a draw. Actually, Brazil held us, because we almost beat them! Nice job everybody. The team has improved from what we saw at Afcon. If this team had met Algeria in the semifinal, I think Nigeria would have played Senegal in the final. The future looks really good!
Next on our TO DO LIST is to pick up 6 points against Benin (at home) and Lesotho (away) in the Afcon 2021 qualifiers next month.
@ Pompei don’t mind some sick brains outta here who never kicked a ball even amongst their peers on the street, talkless of playing on a big stadium. They, haven been brainwashed by English football that hasn’t won England any major tournament for sooo many years, come here pretending they love SE but meanwhile in their hearts wishing SE to fail just so fans here can start looking at England as Supreme. These set of foolish people in their already bald head, think they are English.Their hate for Iwobi has nothing to do with his football but for choosing Nigeria. Even great players both back in d days n now eg, Mikel, JJ okocha, Messi, etc all had bad days. But non were or gets critisized like these evil minded people do for Iwobi. What genuine SE fans here don’t know is,some here, are either agents or tribalist and are only commenting to promote certain mediocre players to satisfy their selfishness. It is acceptable to suggest players to the coach but decency demands every honest person to appreciate whoever the coach deems fit to play his game. Soar Iwobi, Soar above ala dem enemies of progress. THE MIGHTY HAND OF FAVOUR OF THE ALMIGHTY HIGH IS STRONG ABOVE YOU N SE TEAM. GOD BLESS ROHR.
Glory my brother, I agree with you. from what I saw in that game, Iwobi put in a good shift. The Brazilians were paying very close attention to him, which is why he was a bit subdued in the final third. But every where else on the pitch, he did great for us! It is his finishing that is letting him down. If he works hard and becomes more clinical in front of goal, this boy is good enough to be playing for the very best clubs in the world.
Very well said @ Pompei.Respect man. Truth is Iwobi is yet to come to that clinical end of things. But he is a player working to improve every aspect of his game. Reason all managers he’s played under love him. How some CSN coaches seem to know better than top managers like Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery, Marco Silver, Gernot Rohr, Brazilian Tite, n even our own Oliseh, Samson Siasia seem to beat my imagination. All these managers n many more are all aware of Iwobi’s supreme abilities but only the evil CSN coaches refuse to see that because of their selfish desire to promote their mediocre players. They think they talking to illiterate that wouldn’t understand their real intentions for trying to rip Iwobi apart irrespective of whether he plays good or bad. THAt intention is to promote Azeez. Same thing, they did to promote Babatunde against Victor Moses n Late Keshi fell for their evil. Evil tribalist. Reason Nigeria is struggling as a nation, because you HV people like these ready to sacrifice excellence at the altar of mediocrity all to satisfy tribal sentiment.
Our boys did well today, another brilliant performance. The coach and his crew are doing Great job, well done. I think it’s high time the cabals in NFF who are criticizing and want Rohr to fail so they will bring in their business partners in the name of coach should leave Gernot Rohr a lone. We’re not going back to the wilderness where we are coming from. He has revived the the team from super chickens to super eagles, with young talented players. The eagles are now soaring, and look attractive, every player of Nigeria decent now wants to play for Nigeria. No more bribe to be invited. Please let him do his job he knows what he’s doing. Thanks.
Spot on with your analysis Pompei. I particularly like 2 of your soundbites:
1) Our young team defeated might Brazil.
2) Our next to do list is to go and pick up 6 points against Benin and Lesotho.
The future does indeed seem bright.
On Iwobi, I also agree with you 100% particularly your last statement which I quote: “If he (Iwobi) works hard and becomes more clinical in front of goal, this boy is good enough to be playing for the very best clubs in the world.”
It doesn’t take Einstein to work that out.
Thanks bro. One love.
For me i think ndidi is part of the problem. Rohr should give him competition there by bringing in azubuike. K nwakali. Onazi. These guys plays like etebo and some of them offer more in the midfield. I think iwobi is inreplacable exept ebere of qpr is invited. U people forgot so soon how iwobi scores thesame goal against cameroun argentina zambia. Stop critisizin that guy he is still young and will get better.
You are right @ Collins.I’m not too impressed with Ndidi as a midfielder.Ndidi first is a central defender before he was drafted to play in the midfield.A role he’s not dominant he lacks the guile the flair of a natural midfielder because he’s not.
Apparently,we can do better with Zubby or Etebo in that role or have both because their combo in Japan Olympics was imperious.Had we played Zubby,Iwobi and Aribo in the midfield i do not think we would have been dominated in the midfield that much because Zubby is a ball playing defensive midfielder just like Italian Jorginho who plays for Chelsea.
I’m yet to understand the reason he’s yet to get a call up to the super eagles.Beats my imagination that.
If i were the super eagles coach,Zubby would be the first on my list.
