The Home Eagles are set for a difficult first round at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) after failing to be included among the seeded teams.
The draw ceremony will hold at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday.
The Eagles are making a return to the competition after a six-year absence.
They defeated perennial rivals Ghana 3-1 on aggregate in the final qualifying round last weekend.

According to CAF, teams will be seeded based on results from the last three editions of CHAN (2022, 2020 and 2018).
Co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as well as defending champions Senegal will occupy Pot 1.
The CHAN is designed for national teams consisting of players currently playing in their respective local leagues.
It will run from February 1 to February 28, 2025.

With what I have seen from the two legged game with Ghana, I have no fear. Bring any team, we will devour them mercilessly.
This team is capable of winning the CHAN proper as long as the coaching staff is not changed.
Exactly!Honest,I was very impressed with their play. It has been awhile I saw a well drilled and well balanced team like the current CHAN team. Very aggresive and precise in their inter change of passes.I can’t wait for February 1st to to come.
U r so rite @Kel. Diz tim wheel bit anibodi. Hefen bless Di Homebace Supa Ingles and all desafing playas.
Spot on @Kel. They should just keep Ogunmodede and Ilechukwu who did the job to qualify them for the CHAN tournament.
Technically they’re better than Eguavoen from what I saw in the two qualifiers against Ghana.
Let the NFF allow Ogunmoded and Ilechukwu handle the team to CHAN. They’re the only decent local coaches I can vouch for at the moment

Technically and tactically, they’re better than Eguavoen from what I’ve seen in the tow matches against Ghana.
Theyre the only decent local coaches I can vouch fir at the moment.
NFF should let Ogunmodede and Ilechukwu take the team to CHAN
Including Senegal. It’s teams in Port1 that should be afraid of having Super Eagles B in their group.
Even the name eagles of Nigeria is enough for those in pot 1 to starts sheeverin not to talk of the weaker teams in other pot .
