“I haven’t seen him play a lot as a left-back. I saw some footage but in my five games here he has played as a central defender. I’m really happy with him, he’s got everything for a modern defender,” Van Bronckhorst told the media as quoted by Rangers Review.
“He’s very quick, he’s good in the air, physically he’s very strong and we are just working with him on his build-up play.
“He’s a very good kid and like Nathan [Patterson] he’s open to learn new things, to be better every game.”
The defender has made 10 league appearances for the Scottish Premiership champions this season.

Can we pair this boy with AwaZiam and see how it goes . Two ball playing defenders . I sense a very tantalizing and enterprising outcome that will benefit S.E for a long time
But DumboRohr doesn’t think he’s good enough for another invitation. Let Ben aka drey come with a new excuse.
This lad should be in the super eagles I do not see why he shouldn’t.
He has doggedness,he is strong both in the air and on the ground. He has speed and good crosses. He can play as a central defender aside his natural left fullback,I think the reasons he didn’t get to play in the 2nd round world cup playoffs was because Rohr don’t want to take risks. We were walking on a thread so the gaffer carried on with the same players or those that have been part of the team.
So now qualification to the third round is secured and camping for the Afcon is next, Bassey must be in the squad of 28 players at least on current form.
But Rhor saw nothing special in him??….. Something is definitely wrong somewhere because Rhor is known for his habit of giving young talents a chance……Rhor gave the young zidane his breakthrough at Bordeaux…….Rhor initially also gave alot of youngsters their chance in SE……But suddenly everything changed…….He doesn’t even want to see young players in his team anymore……he doesn’t want to listen to any upcoming talented player again……He has closed the door to inviting new players…… Something has gone wrong with the Rhor I used to know…..It all started when Yobo entered into that coaching team.
