The Super Eagles were forced to abandon their official training ground at the Chams Sports Centre to nearby Aero Sports Centre due to heavy traffic in the city of Cairo, Completesports.com reports.
The three-time African champions had their training sessions before the 2-1 quarterfinal win against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Chams Sports Centre, but had to change to a closer venue due to the bad traffic situation.
The new training venue, Aero Sports Centre is a stone throw from the team’ s Cairo Meridien Hotel and it is where they have had their last two training sessions.
“We have to change our training venue to somewhere closer to our hotel because of the heavy traffic in Cairo, ” Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr told reporters on Saturday.
The Super Eagles will face the Desert Foxes of Algeria in their semifinal clash at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday.
