Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini reckoned Ademola Lookman wrote history that will last long for a long time following his UEFA Europa League final heroics.
Lookman scored a hat-trick to help La Dea beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in Dublin on Sunday night.
The winger was the first African to score a hat-trick in the final of a major European competition.

The 26-year-old was named Man of the Match and Player of the Week.
The Nigeria international also won Europa League Goal of the Season for his superb second goal against Xabi Alonso’s men.
“We had seen his qualities through someone at Leicester City. He didn’t score many goals at first, we had him change his position a bit to play him more offensively,” Gasperini told BBC Sport.
“He wrote history that will live on for a long time. It was of course those three goals, but the way in which it was done was also astonishing.”
