Chelsea hero John Mikel Obi has heaped plaudits on Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina.
Aina, a Chelsea academy graduate has featured regularly for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season.

Mikel, who shared the same pitch with Aina during their time with Chelsea lauded the former Torino player for his development.
“He has had a good season so far. One thing he has added to his game this season is that he’s defending well. He is putting in a lot of crosses now and, of course, chipping in a couple of goals as well, which is absolutely fantastic to see,” Mikel said on Obi One Podcast.
“Listen, we all knew he was a fantastic player at the club. He has gone to Forest and has been playing well since returning to the Premier League from Italy.”

Aina has been oozing class for a long time now. I’ve said it severally here that I believed him to be one of the best full/wing backs in the premier league.
As the saying goes, a gold fish has no hiding place.
The surprise for me is that it took so long for the big clubs to notice. The interest shown by Man City is well deserved. Especially when you recall what Aina did to Kyle Walker in one of their recent games.
He has not been showing that commitment in Nigeria colours
What are you smoking? Aina has not been showing what? He’s one of our best performers in recent years. When he’s not in the team it shows glaringly.
