Hoffenheim’s sporting director, Andreas Shicker is expecting big things from new signing Gift Orban.
Orban recently linked up with the Bundesliga club from Ligue 1 outfit Olympic Lyon.
The Nigeria international signed a contract until 2029.
Schicker is hopeful the energetic forward will hit the ground running at the club as soon as possible.
” Gift Orban made his last start against us in the Europa League. The days leading up to the game against Wolfsburg will do him good,” Schicker told the club’s official website.
“But he has a good physique, a good feeling for depth and is very quick to start. Gift also brings a certain goal threat.
“He showed what quality he has during his time at KAA Gent. And if you break down his goal ratio at Lyon into minutes, it is also extremely good.
” A year ago, we wouldn’t have got him from Gent. It was very important that both players joined us early on.
“They should quickly become options for us. They give us the speed that we were lacking, especially after Marius Bülter’s injury.”

I hope Gift is able to reinvent himself at his new club. Every one seems to have a high expectations for his game but he needs to be able to live up to the challenge and remain open to continuous learning.
The German league is physical and technical at the same time, hopefully he should be able to adapt well.
There’s no better time to get his act together and get on his scoring boots than now after transiting between 3 mainstream leagues in about two seasons – Belgian, French and German leagues.
Dedication, discipline and prayer are the key to his success at Hoffenheim fc. Wishing Gift Orban unprecedented success and major injury free in his new sojourn.
His fantastic outings or exploits will enhance his invitation to SE.
