Jessica Harrington hopes Supasundae can overcome Apple’s Jade in the BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle on Saturday.
Supasundae beat superstar Faugheen to win last year’s edition of the race and will now come up against Gordon Elliott’s Apple’s Jade this weekend.

Elliott’s charge has won all three meetings between the two but after a strong showing when finishing second in the Ryanair Hurdle last time out, trainer Harrington is in confident mood.
“He has always come on from the first couple of runs he has,” she said, as reported by Sky Sports. “He’s a very stuffy horse at home and he’s just hard enough to get fit, so I’m hoping that he will have come on again.
“It depends how the race unfolds. If they go a really good gallop, he’s got a good chance of staying on. He does stay very well and that would play into his hands.”
