Houston star James Harden says his priority is ensuring the Rockets win – and not extending his own scoring streak. The reigning NBA MVP extended his run of scoring at least 30 points to 30 consecutive games after Houston overcame Dallas Mavericks 120-104 on Monday night.

Harden needed a late flourish of 11 points in the final two minutes although the 29-year-old stressed as long as the Rockets win, he isn’t concerned who scores. “I was worried about winning,” Harden told reporters. “They were making shots. They were coming back, cut the lead to 10 or nine points, something like that. “So I just wanted to get the proper shots. They put two on the ball and I got off it a few times and we got some good opportunities.”
