Hannover midfielder Mike Bahre has joined English Championship side Barnsley on a permanent basis after shining while on loan.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Reds on a season-long loan last summer, has agreed a three-year deal following their automatic promotion from Sky Bet League One.
“Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce that Mike Bahre has agreed personal terms to join the club permanently this summer from Bundesliga side Hannover 96,” Barnsley said on their official website.
“The transfer is due to go through when the window opens in June, pending the completion of the final paperwork and international clearance being received.”

Bahre made a total of 42 appearances in all competitions for Barnsley as they finished second behind League One champions Luton, scoring two goals.
“When I came here nine months ago I had an expectation, a dream of sorts, of what I wanted from the loan,” Bahre said. “That is exactly what has happened now. We had an amazing season and I feel I played my part in that.”
