The Handball Federation of Nigeria, HFN, has announced the names of 18 players who will represent the county at the International Handball Federation (IHF) Women’s U-18 World Championship in Chuzhou, China.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from August 14 to 25, 2024.

Nigeria will feature as one of the four African representatives after earning a spot from the Africa Women’s U18 Handball Nations Cup in Monastir, Tunisia in 2023.
In a post via the federation’s ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) handle, HFN listed the names of the invited 18 players which comprises a blend of experienced and emerging players, poised to raise the country’s flag high.
They players include three goalkeepers; Samuel Precious, Babatunde Kehinde and Emmamuze Emuore.
Also, Onyekwere Lucy and Igbenedion Blessing were in the team for Right-Wing position while Mathew Esther and Ogbusimba Chidera were included for the Right-Back.
The trio of Samuel Prudence and Babatunde Taiwo and Oparaugo Amarachi were selected for Left-Back while Muhammad Amina, Kasim Munira and Okolo Joan would be at the Left-Wing.
Bello Rahima, Opara Monica and Izuoba Ijeoma were selected for the Center-Back, while Akinlade Damilola and Muhammad Munira are for the Pivots position.
