Haller scored 20 goals in 41 appearances last season for Frankfurt as he helped the club reach the Europa League semi-finals. He has previously played for Auxerre and FC Utrecht but his form last season has seen his stock rise in the last 12 months. Confirming the deal, Frankfurt released a statement on their Twitter feed.
It read: “Eintracht and @WestHamUtd have agreed terms for the transfer of @HallerSeb. “Haller has now been cleared to undergo a medical in London. If all goes to plan then Haller will sign with the Hammers #SGE.” West Ham coach Manuel Pellegrini has been looking for a new striker after losing Lucas Perez, Andy Carroll and Marko Arnautovic in the last few months.
