Lewis Hamilton has no plans to call time on his career any time soon as he feels he has “more to win” with Mercedes. Hamilton seems destined to claim a sixth Drivers’ Championship title this season as he sits 62 points clear of his nearest rival, team-mate Valterri Bottas, with just nine races remaining.
The 34-year-old is in the middle of his 13th campaign as a Formula 1 driver and insists he still has the desire to challenge for silverware. He told The Guardian: “One day I will have to stop but right now I feel fantastic, physically and mentally.
“I don’t have any plans on stopping any time soon – there is more to do, more to win, more to achieve together inside and outside the car. “It’s been a phenomenal journey. We had our first win in Hungary together in 2013 and we have gone from strength to strength. “The majority of the people are still here from when I joined the team. This journey had been remarkable, now I am excited to see what more we could do together.”
