Manchester City ace Erling Haaland has told Lionel Messi to quit football in order to pave way for other players to win Ballon d’Or award.
The Norwegian international stated this in an interview with TribalFootball, where he said that he won’t ever get the recognition he deserves until the Inter Miami star hangs up the boots.

“I won a lot of tournaments last season.
“But I’m only 23 years old, so I want to win it all again. Messi is the best to ever play. Maybe he already needs to end his career so that someone else can become the best player.”
The 23-year-old won the Premier League title, the League Cup, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup with City in the 2022/23 season.
