Manchester City trio of Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Rico Lewis have been nominated for the Etihad player of the month for October.
In the month of October the Cityzens were victorious in four matches across the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League including the 3-0 pummeling of Manchester United.
The club also extended their unbeaten streak in European competitions to 17 matches.
According to manchestercity.com Haaland, Foden and Lewis have been adjudged to be the three best performing players for the club in the period under review.
Lewis was highly impressive in the defence of Manchester City in October as he had fantastic displays in the Champions League. He made an assist in the 3-1 win against RB Leipzig and he was the Man of the Match in the 3-1 victory over Young Boys.
Norwegian striker Haaland scored five goals in five games as he powered the Pep Guardiola led side through an eventful month. He scored twice in City’s win in the Manchester derby, he scored a brace against Leipzig and he scored the winning goal in the 2-1 victory against Brighton.
Foden was key for City in the past month as he set the tone for various victories.
He scored the first goal in the game with Leipzig and he also scored the first goal against Manchester United.
With Haaland’s strikes against United he became the fastest player to score 20 goals in Premiership away fixtures which he achieved in 23 matches.
City are currently in third place on the Premiership table with 24 points two points adrift of table toppers Tottenham Hotspur after 10 matches.
They are first position in Group G of the Champions League with nine points after matchday three.
Haaland has scored a league leading 11 goals and he has made two assists in 10 Premier League games.
Foden has two goals and three assists in 10 Premier League games this term.
Lewis has made four appearances in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.
