Debutante Danielle Collins knocked world number two Angelique Kerber out of the Australian Open in straight sets.
The American, who is making her first appearance at the Australian Open, was regarded as a huge underdog heading into the clash but she made easy work of Kerber to win 6-0 6-2 in just 56 minutes.

Kerber attempted to fight back in the second and broke early but the debutante immediately fired back with a break of her own before the German dropped serve on two more occasions.
“I just go out fearless, just give it my all,” she said. “I better have many more of these.”
Collins’ reward is a quarter-final clash with either American fifth seed Sloane Stephens or Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
