Arsenal have been left reeling by Leicester City’s £60million valuation of James Maddison and may not pursue him further. The Daily Mail claim Gunners boss Unai Emery launched a surprise enquiry for the ex-Norwich City star in the wake of Arsenal’s Europa League defeat this week.
Maddison only moved to the King Power Stadium from the Canaries for £20m last summer and has had one season in the top flight But the Foxes are reportedly demanding a staggering £60m to let him go as he stands on the brink of an international breakthrough. Tottenham and Manchester United have previously been linked to the 22-year-old, who rose through the ranks of his boyhood favourites Coventry City.
