Arsenal face competition from Lyon for the signature of Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney, according to reports. Unai Emery may be working with a restricted budget this summer but the Spaniard is still keen to reinforce his squad as they target a return to the top four.

Tierney was linked with the Gunners earlier in the summer, having impressed north of the border, but it appears Arsenal will need to compete with Lyon. The French outfit are on the hunt for a left-back after allowing Ferland Mendy to agree a deal with Real Madrid.
It’s understood Arsenal have other options and could turn to Everton’s Lucas Digne or Lille left-back Youssouf Kone, but Tierney is their preferred target. The report states that Celtic will demand a fee in the region of £26million although that could rise if a bidding war develops.
