Pep Guardiola admits his Manchester City side are feeling the pressure in the Premier League title race despite beating Crystal Palace. Sunday’s 3-1 victory looked like was going to be comfortable initially as Raheem Sterling’s brace put City into a commanding position.
However, a great free kick from Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic ensured a tense finish before Gabriel Jesus finished a swift counter-attack to give the points to City. It means they are still in control of their own destiny in the Premier League, after a match which was deemed to be a potential banana skin heading into kick off.

City now face Tottenham twice and Manchester United in the next ten days and Guardiola admits the pressure on his squad is great. He said: “This pressure is incredible. We are fighting to be champions back to back. In two seasons we’ve got 83 points with five games left.
We’ve won two titles (Community Shield) and now it’s the FA Cup final.” Guardiola was also full of praise for Sterling, who missed a sitter early on but came back to bag two goals, as he further enhanced his cause to be named Player of the Year. “He missed the first chance but the first goal was incredible,” he added. “He’s a guy who has scored a lot of goals. He fought and helped Kyle Walker.”
