Former Rivers State sports commissioner, Christopher Green doled out N5m to Rivers United players following their 2-1 victory against Bendel Insurance on Friday.
Green had promised to reward the players while addressing them ahead of the game played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
The former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical director fulfilled his promise immediately after the game.

Morice Chukwu gave Rivers United the lead on the stroke of half time, while substitiute Joseph Onoja added the second a minute from time.
Stanley Eguma’s side occupy second spot on the standings with eight points from four games.
The Port Harcourt club will need to beat leaders Enyimba in their last game on Sunday to successfully their title.
