Edward Green has joined the coaching crew of Nigerian Premier Football League club Sporting Lagos ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Green was previously at Akwa United where he served as the assistant coach.
While he was with the Promise Keepers he was an important part of the staff that led the team to their league title in 2021.
He was also in charge of the U-15 side which he guided to the knockout stage of the La Liga U-15 Championship on several occasions.

Speaking to sportinglagos.com, Green expressed excitement on his new appointment.
“I never played so much growing up, but I really enjoyed making sure everything was organised,” Green said.
“I would make sure we had enough balls and the posts we used were of a different standard. What excites me most about coming here was the project we are building. This is a club with a thoroughly planned roadmap and I’m excited to be here.”
Green started his career as the assistant coach at Ikot Ekpene United. He guided them to clinch the Governor’s Cup title in 2018.
