“It is a very great honour to wear this shirt number. To be the number ten of Ajax is a special feeling,” Akpom told the club’s official website.
“The shirts are very stylish and fit me very well. I think they are both very beautiful.”
The 27-year-old can’t also hide his excitement after joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
“It was a quick deal. Several clubs were interested, but when Ajax came I immediately knew that I wanted to go to Amsterdam,” he added.
“Of course I am very happy to sign with Ajax. It is a large, special club with a great history. It was therefore not a difficult decision.”

Please come and replace iheanacho, even if aribo too is not serious please discard him as well.
We don’t need lower division strikers or supporting strikers. Same thing goes for Ndidi.
Let me see how you will have players in ajax, Bayern levacuscen, and if gift transfer happen to Tottenham then you still be inviting player from lower division from Southampton and Leicester.
As Good as that may sound my Brother @Yinkus you should not be mentioning Iheanacho even Aribo for that matter. The Reason why NFF keep getting away with Musa’s Invite is that Nigerians will always look for every other player to use as scape goat for Musa and this is sad. Ndidi the reason he has not been allowed to leave Leicester is that Leicester are still looking to bounce straight back to the EPL and Ndidi is seen as an integral part of that..
Kelechi Iheanacho can give way more than Musa can too. Let me ask you these players you mentioned between them and Musa who has scored more goals recently for Super Eagles and who has contributed more.
That being said, another thing all you are saying about Akpom is wishful thinking because as much as he deserves a place in the Super Eagles very much that Mumu people in the NFF will not give him a chance in Super Eagles they will still insist on Pesiero inviting the same old list and for this Sao Tome game they are pushing for an all NPFL based Team meaning deserving players like Orban, Boniface, Akpom, Ebuehi, Alhasan yusuf and Onyedika and co will not will not even get a look into the super Eagles.
Let us face it Super Eagles as we know it is doomed, Just like the Sports Minister achieved his aim in destroying the D’Tigers. They will achieve thier mandate and destroy Super Eagles.
Congrats
“Nigerian-born” means born in Nigeria. It’s erronneous claiming that every player with a Nigerian parent was born in Nigeria, and therefore its national.
A new sports minister John Enoh, that would have been a perfect fit for minister of Agriculture has been appointed.
Maybe his tenure is going to be all about regrassing our stadia. He looks quite intelligent but doubt that intelligence is wired towards sporting activities. Anyway we will see our things pans out.
Remember we need good pitches Lol….
Oh yes we need good pitches to host all teams like Ghana n Co to use and qualify ahead of us. Lol zzz. Square peg in round holes as always. Only God’s intervention will save Nigeria brodaman.
