Gloucester have announced a deal to sign Munster hooker Mike Sherry on loan for the rest of the season. Glos have confirmed the new arrival on their official website as they bring in cover for the injured James Hanson.

Limerick-born forward Sherry has been with Munster for his whole career, making over 100 senior appearances for the region, while he has a single cap for Ireland on the international stage.
Sherry will stay for the rest of the season and will fill in for Hanson after he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in training this week. Gloucester sit fourth in the Premiership, 20 points behind leaders Exeter Chiefs, and they entertain Wasps on Saturday. It’s unclear if Sherry will make his debut as he looks to make an impact at Kingsholm over the next few months.
