Four-time African Golf Tour Champion, Vincent Torgah of Ghana, has taken the driving seat as the South-East Shootout Golf Championship entered its day two Thursday at the Arsenal Golf and Country Club, Obinze, near Owerri, Imo State, Completesports.com reports.
Torgah leads the Park -9 Par 36 and is closely followed by his compatriot, Emos Korblah, who has garnered -8 Par 36 heading into the third day of the championship.
Nigeria’s trio of Ibrahim Ocheje, F. Epe and G. Willy, Completesports.com reports, are equally holding their heads high as the championship enters day three today (Friday, June 14).
Ocheje has -5 Par 36 to his credit with F. Epe following closely with -4 Par 36, while Willy has made -4 Par 36.
Mazi Emeka Okatta, chairman of the Arsenal Golf and Country Club who also doubles as chairman of the Local Organising Committee, LOC, is delighted with the performances of the players so far.
“The standard is very high. Of course, that’s what you should expect from Pro Golfers.
“I’m impressed,” Okatta said.
The South-East Shootout Golf Championship ends on Saturday, June 15.
