The Ghana Football Association and Ministry of Sports are at loggerheads over the choice of a new coach for the Black Stars, Completeaports.com reports.
The GFA are in the hunt for a new gaffer for the Black Stars after sacking Serbian Milovan Rajevac last week.
Former Newcastle United, Brighton and Norwich City manager Chris Hughton and former midfielder Otto Addo are two main contenders for the vacant position.
Hughton has the backing of the sports ministry, while Addo is highly favoured by top members of the Football Association.
With both sides seemingly taking an entrenched position on the matter, the possibility of a clash between the government and the FA cannot be ruled out.
The Black Stars will take on eternal rivals Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs next month.

Ghana is as confused as Nigeria, poor planning
They are playing mind games..
They are playing dead. they want to be there more than Nigeria. You see.
This is the problem with our soccer set-up which has held us back since time immemorial..poor leadership.Any organization worth its salt would have a set of policies and procedures which, among other things would specify who is responsible for hiring new coaches, GFA or Ministry of Sports. We are faced with this situation because we either don’t have the policies in place, or we are simply ignoring them. IMO the best way, under the circumstances, is to hire a local coach for the Naija game, and then look to get our house in order before we go looking for a full-time coach. What a mess!
The GFA is looking for someone of their own that they can control and corrupt him as they’re. Ghana GFA is the most corrupt FA , they don’t this about the game they only think about doing business with the team and that all what they care.
On current form,Nigeria will defeat Ghana
