Bayern Munich narrowly defeated rivals Borussia Dortmund 3-2 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday to claim a record German Super Cup title on Wednesday night.
Bayern claimed their eight Super Cup Title, the most won by a German side in the history of the competition.
With the 2020 German Super Cup feat, Bayern also completed a massive five-title feat for the 2019/2020 campaign.

Bayern earlier won the 2019/2020 German Cup, Bundesliga, Champions League and UEFA Super Cup titles. And the Hansi Flick’s men bounced back strongly from the disappointment of losing their long unbeaten run when they lost 4-1 to TSG Hoffenheim last weekend, and claimed bragging rights as 2019/2020 quintet winners.
Thomas Muller clinched his 27th trophy following Bayern’s win making him the most decorated German player of all time.
Corentin Tolisso put Bayern 1-0 ahead in the 18th minute while Muller made it 2-0 on 32 minutes.
Seven minutes after Bayern’s second goal, Julian Brandt made it 2-1 and 10 minutes into the second half Erling Haaland drew Dortmund level.
But with eight minutes remaining in the encounter Joshua Kimmich scored the winner to end the game 3-2 in favour of the Bundesliga and Champions League holders.
