Coco Gauff is through to the third round at Wimbledon after beating Magdalena Rybarikova in straight sets. The 15-year-old, who defeated Venus Williams on Monday, continued the fairytale when defeating her Slovakian opponent 6-3 6-3 in just one hour and nine minutes on Court One.
Gauff who has become the youngest player since Jennifer Capriati to reach the last 32 at Wimbledon, will now play Slovenia’s Polona Hercog in the next round. The youngster, will be favourite to beat Hercog, but is refusing to get carried away and is just happy to still be in the tournament.
“I’m still shocked I am even here,” Gauff told BBC TV after her latest win. “I played well on pressure points, she was serving amazing. I’ve not been able to relax, there is so much going on. “I believe I can beat anyone across the court.”
