Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has explained Ademola Lookman’s early substitution against Venezia.
La Dea recorded a 2-0 victory over Venezia at the Gewiss Stadium on Sunday night.
Lookman was surprisingly replaced by Colombia international Juan Cuadrado after the break.

Gasperini declared that Lookman was visibly tired and not at his best.
“He was probably tired too, then there are the games and the needs of the teams. It already happened to us with Como, we would have risked doing the same with Venezia today,” Gasperini said in his post-match interaction with the media.
The 27-year-old has made five league appearances for Atalanta this season with two goals to his name.
He was named Atalanta’s Player of the Month for September last week.
