Lille manager Christophe Galtier says he will continue to rely on Victor Osimhen for goals this season following the forward’s positive start to his career with the club, reports Completesports.com.
Osimhen has enjoyed a comfortable start to his career with the Lille following his summer arrival from Belgian outfit, Sporting Charleroi.
The Nigeria international has scored six goals in eight league appearances for Les Dogues this season.
He opened his UEFA Champions League goal account for the club in Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Lille lost their two important forwards; Nicolas Pepe and Rafeal Leao to Arsenal and AC Milan this but Osimhen has made the club’s supporters forget the duo with his impressive performance.
” You asked me the same question last year with Nico (Pépé) All teams are dependent on one or two players, so in all clubs we say we need an attacker We have Victor ,”Galtier responded to question on Lille’s overdependence on Osimhen during a press conference on Saturday.
Lille will host Nimes in their next French Ligue 1 clash at home on Sunday.
