Fulham are in talks with Everton over the signing of Super Eagles Star Alex Iwobi ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Sky Sports Premier League disclosed this on their X handle on Tuesday.
The Cottagers are keen to bolster their attack following the £46million exit of star forward Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal earlier this summer.
Iwobi, who is out injured, has entered the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.
He got injured in Everton’s 4-0 defeat away to Aston Villa and thus missed out on the Toffees’ 1-0 home loss to Wolves last weekend.

Fulham’s current manager Marco Silva was in charge at Everton when Iwobi joined from Arsenal in 2019.
According to Sky Sports, aside Fulham, two other clubs are also interested in the services of the Nigerian international.
While one is a club from the Premier League the other is outside England.
Iwobi has only scored nine goals and 16 assists from 140 appearances with the Toffees.
If he eventually joins Fulham, he will become teammate with Calvin Bassey who signed for Fulham from Ajax.

It beats me looking at the struggle of such teams like Everton with such quality in the middle of the pack and in the attack. Who would imagine that the Toffees with combative and creative players like Amadou Onana, Idris Gueye, Aboulaye Dacoure and our own Alex Iwobi that Everton would have a poor run of form at the beginning of the season, just the way they ended the last season, struggling to escape relegation. The same team boosts of top of quality personnel like Dominic Calvin Lewin up front, although injured at the moment and the Dutch winger Arnunt Danjuma, who had a sensational time at Villarreal previous season. Little didci realise that the team has the English first choice keeper, Jordan Pickford. With these array of talents in the goalkeeping,in the middle and in the attack, no one expects them to struggle at all.
Against this background, it would not be a surprise to see the Nigerian younger, Iwobi who has shown some flashes of brilliance the start of this campaign, and whose contributions helped in no small way to keep them afloat LST season attracting suitors from the EPL. However, one would fancy a better EPL side than Fulham. For a player who’d his tutelage with Arsenal both at the youth and senior team, Iwobi by his standards would give considerations to teams with pedigree that would offer challenge and motivation.
In the final analysis, the ultimate decision resides with Iwobi.
We wish him the best.
By the Fulham has another Nigeria youngster, Calvin Bassey in their fold
Indeed, it’s strange that Everton are struggling so much, given the quality they possess, especially in the midfield. Doucoure, Onana, Gueye, Iwobi? Lots of quality there. They should be doing better.
No disrespect to Dyche, but if the poor results continue, the option of a new coach might be the next step to take. In the hands of a coach who knows how to use them, this Everton team will probably fare better.
As for Iwobi, perhaps a new environment will do him good.
