23-year-old Denmark international Robert Skov is in the midst of his first Bundesliga season and has already made a big impression on TSG Hoffenheim fans and opponents alike with his set-piece skills after arriving from FC Copenhagen in July 2019.
Skov, a left-back who is also adept as right-winger and full-back has netted three goals in 22 Bundesliga games for Hoffenheim, providing four assists. And manager Alfred Schreuder can’t wait to see player continue with that rich vein of form when Bundesliga resumes on May 16.
In this week’s video interview, we asked the talented free-kick specialist pertinent questions concerning his Hoffenheim stay so far.
How do you feel playing for TSG Hoffenheim?
Skov: I’ve been really happy coming here to Hoffenheim, playing in an amazing club with great people. It has, of course, been challenging at the beginning and still now; it’s a big step from the Danish league to the Bundesliga, it’s quite a different level. I’m adjusting and trying to get better each day, but I’m very happy to be here and playing a lot.”

Are you an all-rounder on the pitch?
“I’ve played a little bit full-back, a little bit wing-back, also
up front on the right side, so a bit of moving around but it’s football and football today is a bit more flexible than 10 years ago and you have to do your best, no matter which position, for the team.”
How is it having another Danish Player in your team with Bruun Larsen?
It’s really nice. He’s a good friend and we enjoy our time together a lot. We have a lot of the same views on football, so we talk a lot of football, but also it’s nice outside of football to have a guy your own age to be around.”
