Summer signing Pablo Fornals says he is enjoying his time at West Ham and is confident they can enjoy a successful campaign. The 23-year-old joined the Hammers in June from Villarreal, signing a five-year contract in the process. Fornals has impressed during pre-season and he netted his first goal for the club during Wednesday’s 5-3 success over Hertha Berlin.

The Spaniard will be hoping to add to his tally on Saturday when West Ham play Athletic Bilbao, a side Fornals knows all too well. He scored a stunning goal against them in La Liga in September and Fornals admits he cannot wait to face some of his friends. After adjusting to life in England, the Castellon-born ace believes he can impress this season under coach Manuel Pellegrini. “I’m looking forward to the game,” Fornals told whufc.com.
“I want to play the match and I want to see my old friends in their team. I think it will be a good match. “I’m so happy to be here, first of all, and to score my first goal for the team. It was a crazy game on Wednesday but finally, we got the win, which was the important thing. “I’m very happy here. The team is a very good one and I’m so happy to be here with my new teammates. I want the same as them in that I want to have a good season.”
