Erstwhile Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye is set to join Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) outfit Rivers United.
According to reports, Ideye was spotted in training with Rivers United this week.
The 36-year-old last played for Kuwaiti club Al-Yarmouk.
Rivers United head coach Finidi George said he will willing to welcome Ideye to the club.

“There is every likelihood that he’ll join us. He wants to give back, that’s the most important thing,” declared Finidi.
“He has that hunger, we’ve seen Ahmed Musa, and if he’s willing to do that, I think we’ll welcome him.”
The striker played for defunct Ocean Boys before moving abroad in 2006.
He has also played for clubs in France, Ukraine, England, Greece and Switzerland.

Seeing how an aged Ahmed Musa glides past defenders in the league confirms my impression that the standard of the league is still rock bottom.
