Former Nigerian senator Shehu Sani has criticised the Super Eagles’ performance in the 3-2 friendly win over Mozambique on Monday.
The Super Eagles rallied to beat the Mambas at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira.
It was the Super Eagles fourth win in five outings against the Mambas.
Sani is his reaction on the social media, berates the Super Eagles for their poor display in the game.
“Super Eagles are still not flying well in their friendly matches. What is really happening with our national team,” he wrote on his X handle.

It would be recalled that the Super Eagles played out a 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in their previous friendly.
Up next for the Super Eagles is the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games vs Lesotho and Zimbabwe in November.
Thereafter, the Super Eagles will prepare to join Africa’s best at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Ivory Coast from January 2024.
Already, Nigeria have been drawn alongside Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau in Group A for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Nigeria will be targeting a fourth AFCON title, their last triumph was in 2013.
