AFC Wimbledon have confirmed the re-signing of Watford forward Michael Folivi on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old, who has made one first-team appearance for the Hornets – a late cameo as a substitute during a Premier League game at Stoke in 2017 – scored two goals in 11 games last season after joining the Dons on a temporary deal in January.
And, having secured his services on a new deal, Dons manager Wally Downes told Wimbledon’s website: “I am just really pleased to get Michael back, and I’m looking forward to him joining up with the other strikers.
“He was a big part of what we did last season. We know that he has a great attitude and he puts pressure on defenders.” He was unveiled on Tuesday evening and then scored from the penalty spot after coming off the substitutes’ bench in Wimbledon’s 3-2 pre-season friendly against Bristol City.
