Phil Foden has again ruled out the possibility of leaving Manchester City by insisting that he wants to stay with them “forever”. The 18-year-old celebrated his second Premier League start for the Citizens by heading in the only goal of the game just five minutes into Saturday’s 1-0 win over Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium, which took the side back to the top of the table.

Foden has made 12 league appearances for City this term and 25 in all competitions, but it has not stopped speculation suggesting that he could look to depart in the summer in search of regular first-team football. However, the England Under-21 international is adamant that he has no plans to play for any other club than City.
“Everyone has their own plan, some go and some stay,” Foden told Stadium Astro. “I see myself playing here in the future, if I just keep my head down and keep working and keep improving each year. “That’s what I’m trying to do. I love this club and I want to play for them in the future and forever.”
