Former skipper of Enyimba International FC, Tony Alegbe, is optimistic that Flying Eagles can book a passage to the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina if they remain brave and resolute against the host country on Wednesday.
Alegbe who captained Enyimba to their first league title in 2001 told Completesports.com that the Flying Eagles have what it takes to beat Argentina if they defend well and do not concede cheap goals like they did against the Dominican Republic and Brazil in the group stage of the World Cup.
“The Flying Eagles, aside from raising their game must be brave and must take the few chances they will create. They must not do the mistake of taking the battle to them as they did against Brazil. The Flying Eagles must defend collectively and hope to catch the host on counter-attack and set-pieces.

“Of course, the Nigerians should not be cowed by the home fans. That is why I said they should be brave and resolute. Teamwork will help the Flying Eagles to shock the Argentines. Coach Bosso should feature players that have a never say die spirit, players who are ready to shed blood for victory for Nigeria.
“Argentina have the advantage of playing before their vociferous home fans but they have not played against a tough side in the competition. Beating Guatemala, Uzbekistan and New Zealand is not enough to access the host country or tip them as favourite for the trophy, ” the former Shooting Stars and Kwara United midfielder stated.
Alegbe who played professional football in Ukraine for Metalurh Donetsk and two other sides before retiring at Wikki Tourists, said players like goalkeeper Aniagboso, Bameyi, Agbalaka, Daga and Sarki have impressed him so far, adding that the future looks bright for the Ladan Bosso, boys and others in this team.
“Something tells me that the Flying Eagles will overcome the Argentines and progress but it will be tougher than expected because the hosts will apply every trick to bully their counterparts,” Alegbe who also played for Super Eagles briefly concluded.

The whole country is sad and gloomy due to BAT selfish pronouncement about Subsidy payment as if it is his money that is use to pay the subsidy. Nigeria will loose that match due to the darkness covering the whole country
Check you fact before saying stuff like this. Is subsidy a blessing or a curse to Nigeria? We pay huge amount of money on subsidy with some fraudulent Nigerians enjoying the whole subsidy money of a thing.
Subsidy is a blessing . its because of subsidy that Nigerians are able to buy fuel at affordable prices like 196-250 naira per liter. Many say its a scam but so long as it keeps petrol priced down it has achieved its objective.
BAT is not even mentally alert to know what he said or pronounced, because how can you make such pronouncement when you have not even access the country’s economic situation, , pick your Minister’s and check what Dangote refinery and other modular refineries will bring to the course before making such a heavy announcement that is now affecting everything and the way of life of Nigerians!!…BAT is profoundly disastrous in this inept approach to his fraudulent government first step to leadership!!..After all he allowed Buhari to loot over N22trillions and $800m claimed to have been borrowed from CBN and approved by the national assembly, yet the poor masses will now bear the brunt!!!
BAT lacks capacity to be mentally allert because of being a drug addict. Association of Past Criminals(APC) is an agent of devil and not until they were flush out of the governance nothing good will come to Nigeria again. Mark my words. Flying Eagles, you are highly welcome back home.
